The Oasys structural educational webinar series continues with a closer look at making steel frame analysis models.
Webinar host
Peter Debney is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), as well as a member of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE). He is the senior consultant, structural application specialist, support manager, and quality manager for Arup in the Oasys software group. He has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Bradford, and is a visiting lecturer at a number of universities. He is a regular public speaker and has published a book on Computational Engineering.
Professor Peter Debney is hosting and will be taking you through the best practices involved, advanced tips and tricks, time-saving techniques, alongside a live demonstration using advanced structural engineering software.
The topics the webinar will cover include:
Design Layer
- Adding steel sections and creating design pools
- Building a braced frame
- Defining member ends
- Section design
Analysis Layer
- Creating the analysis model from the design layer
- Storeys and grid loads
- Wind load panels
- Rigid constraints for the floor diaphragms
- Analysis and combinations
If you are unable to make the schedule time, please do register and a recording of the webinar will be sent to you afterwards.
