We were delighted that this week’s live Oasys webinar on Making Good Structural Analysis Models attracted a record number of registrations, with over 1000 from over 47 different countries. It was hosted by Peter Debney, our structural and pedestrian modelling software Application Specialist. Peter will be well known to many within the industry for the hands-on training support, and advice he provides.
We decided to offer this webinar following Peter’s packed lecture at the IStructE, where he talked about the common mistakes to avoid when creating FEA models. This new presentation continued the theme by looking at what makes good structural analysis models: best practices, how to validate your model, reduce errors, and what type of model to use for different situations. “The bottom line is enabling engineers to make full use of their structural analysis software to design and analyse some of the most complex problems encountered in modern engineering,” he said.
“Oasys webinars have always focussed on practical sessions for users as well as sharing ideas. Naturally our development is driven by engineers working on current, ground-breaking projects. So, we are providing a nexus for sharing ideas and techniques that, while they might be new, are already tried and tested,” said Chris Down, Oasys Business Development Manager.
The highly attended webinar is now available to watch on-demand: Making Good Structural Analysis Models
